I'm new to the Blogg world and I just had a client ask me if I could set up a blogg for her that she could then update herself. Her web site is hosted on Dreamhost but I am the only one that has FTP access to it at this time. Can someone tell me how to do this and speak to me as if I am a real newbie?

First off, the word is blog (short for web log or weblog). Secondly, DreamHost offers an easy one-click installation of a popular blogging tool called WordPress. See Goodies: One-Click Installs in the Control Panel.

Thanks. I will look at that. Can my client get on and update it herself without any knowledge of code?

The blog will work without any knowledge of coding; however, a basic knowledge of HTML will certainly help.
