WordPress Theme CSS problems

I have wordpress installed, and I have the Unity theme running (see: http://area51.wdanielryan.com/themes/unity)
In Mozilla, all looks fine on my friend's page I'm hosting and running, but on IE, it's horrid. The author's themes all look like foo on IE. I really need to get this site looking better in IE but have no idea what IE is doing.
It seems to be stretching the images greatly, and moving the text divs greatly to the left, making everything look misaligned.
