DNS issues with GMail and Dreamhost

Currently, I have a domain using gmail at mail.joeyfigaro.com and it is working perfectly... but when I try to get it to work at mail.artifect.org, it gives me a 404. I did some research on the DNS records and it looks like there is something strange going on with the database of records associated with my domain? It seems like the MX record is actually there, but the CNAME goes in and out.
