Have been using Podpress on my podcast at podcast.williamtoop.com
I have noticed that the stats test results in "Test: Failed"
Is there anything I can do about this to make it work?
how do you do to make stats for my podcast in my wordpress blog using Dreamhost as my server ?

Do you mean website statistics?
If so, DH uses Analog as default. You can set it up via DH panel --> Status --> Website Statistics.
I'll recommend you to use AWStats which is very helpful. You can refer to this article on how to install it.

I mean podcast statistics..ie how many times anyone downloads my podcast
