Just designed a website on iweb which I want to upload to replace my old site. How exactly do I do this? Is there any kind of step by step process to follow?

You'll have to have iWeb export to a folder, then upload the folder (or its contents). It's a drag, but iWeb rebuilds the website every time it does an export.
If your FTP program will sync folders, you can try that so it won't upload everything every time.
