wp post by mail

I've created an email account and setup my WP to use it.
But it never checks that email.
So I run blog.DOMAIN.TLD/wp-mail.php and got an error:
[code]POP3 connect: Error [220 spaceymail-a3.g.dreamhost.com ESMTP][/code]
configuration:
Mail server: mail.mydomain.tld 465 (I also tried mail.dreamhost.com and port 25)
Login name: secret@mydomain.tld
Password: secretpass
from the webmail, I can login and I see the email there.
Any ideias?
