Hello there! I have a hostee who wants me to rename his subdirectory, aka...right now it's

bob.mydomain.com

but he wants

bobby.mydomain.com

Is there a way to do this, without having to just delete the original and create a whole new one? If so could someone point me in the right direction please? thanks.

You can't 'rename' a sub-domain, so you will need to delete the old sub-domain and add the new one.

However, to make life a little easier, instead of copying the content across, you can specify the old sub-domains web-directory when adding the new sub-domain, or you could rename the old web-directory from 'bob.mydomain.com' to 'bobby.mydomain.com'

I should note that if the actual content in the old web-directory refers to the sub-domain directly (ie: http://bob.mydomain.com), you will need to edit these references to reflect the new sub-domain.
