Compressing HTTP in Apache

Compressing HTTP in Apache

Hi,

I was reading this article:
http://digg.com/tech_news/Reducing_Your_Website_s_Bandwidth_Usage

And it talks about how easily it is to turn on HTTP compression.

Anything that could speed up my site is really appreciated.

Can anyone tell me how I could do that here in Dreamhost?

I believe compression (GZIP) is already enabled, at least it appears to be on my sites.

You can use the 'Compression Check' site ,listed in the article you linked, to confirm if compression is being used for your site(s).
