Can't CHMOD to 755?

Ok, well, I logged into my FTP today to upload some images, and noticed I couldn't perform actions (view, edit, etc) on ANYTHIN. I tried CHMODing my directories to the proper settings, but they keep changing themselves back to...whatever, or it's just not registering.

Is there a way to fix this. Have I been hacked or something?

What directory, and what are the permissions set to? It sounds like you logged in with your ftp client as the wrong user..

Ok...seems it just took awhile to recognize that I changed it. Appears to be fixed now.
