I want to create a new subdomain and also create a new user account with access to the subdomain and only that sub-domain.

But after creating the subdomain and creating a user with access to that subdomain it placed a logs and mail directory in there along with several other files plus it locked off the directory from being viewable in a web browesers. This is the complete oppostie of what I want.

I removed the mail server. So can I delete the mail direcotry? What about getting rid of the log directory and those files. And how can I get it so when you got a my subdomain u get a listing of files on that direcory instead of a Forbidden message?

Too many questions and not enough details for me. If you're getting a Forbidden message, then maybe you setup an htaccess instead of a user? Also, are you sure it's "Forbidden" and not "not found"? There might be a bit of delay between changes in the panel and seeing them with a browser.

I wouldn't go deleting log and mail directories (the panel should handle that), and I'd be surprised if you can actually delete log directories, since mine are owned by root.

If you don't put an index file into the subdomain top directory, and don't have an htaccess restricting it, you should get the listing of files.

You might want to contact Support since they can look at what you've actually got.
