I created a subdomain for my site, but then deleted it. Now under the 'non-editable dns records' the info is still there! How long will it take for that stuff to disappear?

this may or may not get to what you want, since i can't tell why you're concerned at the entries still being there, but you can check
http://www.dnsstuff.com
to see what the outside world gets when they want to find your subdomain. basically, if the subdomain DNS data is not being broadcast, then folks won't be able to reach the machine.

How long did you wait after deleting the sub-domain before you checked the DNS records? These things can take a little time to make their way through the system.
