I was working on a new Joomla site when half the content went missing. One hour later I found out that the date was registering Sept 24. I changed the publish date and it came up. So the question is how to set the server date and time to the correct values.

I believe that only the admins can change that. You'll need a support ticket. You may want to include what machine you're on that will keep them from having look it up.

Yeah - found only egon impacted that I can tell. Have two different servers.

There's been discussion recently of time going backward by a second or so due to some kernel problem or something, but yours gets the record I think.
