I'm having trouble remapping a sub-directory

I already contacted support but the response they gave me didn't help. The cause of the problem is that the sub-directory I wanna remap has a space in the folder name (I'll call the folder "xxx xxx" for privacy purposes).
When DreamHost asked me to type a "Fully-hosted URL to remap", I typed "http://mywebsite.com/xxx% 20xxx/". For the new path, I typed "/home/otheruser/mywebsite.com/xxx% 20xxx/". However, when I go to the URL "http://mywebsite.com/xxx% 20xxx/" it doesn't work. I can only see the contents of "/home/otheruser/mywebsite.com/xxx% 20xxx/" when I go to the URL "http://mywebsite.com/xxx% 2520xxx/".
So I'm typing in 1 URL that I want remapped, but it thinks I want a different URL remapped. How can I set it up so that when I go to the URL "http://mywebsite.com/xxx% 20xxx/", I see the contents of "/home/otheruser/mywebsite.com/xxx% 20xxx/"?
Edit: Oops, the URLs didn't show up properly, the forum must have automatically converted the "% 20"s to spaces. I just added spaces after each % so you can see what I wanted to type, so just ignore those spaces.Edited by mjf314 on 11/09/06 07:55 PM (server time).
