mailx listing equivalent?

I want to generate a daily summary of all the messages in a particular mail folder, and have a cron job mail it to me. All I really want is the sender, date, and subject header of each message, so something like "mailx -H" (for some versions of mailx, anyway) would do nicely. Unfortunately, it's pretty clear that mail/mailx won't work with the Dreamhost mail setup, at least for this purpose. Can anyone recommend something comparable? Thanks.
