For some reason I can't delete some folders on my hosting account.
I tried via FTP and shell.
The folders are called php, and php5libs.
I tried to compile my own custom php, but then decided I didn't need it...

If it's an ownership problem, you could try creating a PHP script that deletes it with rmdir(). Otherwise, you could just send support a message and ask them to remove it for you. Just be sure to be very specific when telling them what to delete. ;)

Additionally, I discovered that if you make your hidden files visible (not sure what FTP client you're using), you'll see probably an .htaccess and an .htpwd (or whatever it is -- dont' remember) file. After I deleted these files, I was able to remove the offending directories...
