Network-wide problem, IMAP related?

Dreamhost has posted on it's status page that they are still having general network-wide problems and are working with an expert networking consultant and Cisco to get the problem fixed. Does anyone have any more information about this? Is it related to IMAP? I seem to only be having problems with my IMAP email accounts - sites and FTP are working fine.
