webmail YES--IMAP NO

Hello,
I have two Dreamhost domains. On one of them, I can log in to all my accounts via webmail, but can't login to any of them with IMAP. On the other domain, I don't have any problem doing either. I get messages saying "login failed" if I try to access the accounts with either Apple Mail or Thunderbird. Since I've already set one domain up correctly, I'm *fairly* certain that it is not user error on the email configuration. Does anyone have any suggestions?
