Allow a user access to a directory on my domain?

Allow a user access to a directory on my domain?

I would like to give my dad access to a directory on my domain where he can share images on the Web forums he chats on. He can barely work a computer, so FTP is out of the question.

Is there a way for him to simply mount a directory on my domain on his mac desktop and manage files just like they were on his machine (a mac mini with OS 10.4)? Does WebDAV allow this sort of thing, or is there a way for me to do that?

If anyone could help me out, we both would appreciate it!

Thanks.

WebDAV doesn't allow regular HTTP access either, so that is out. Well unless you run a WebDAV client script that copies the files to a web-accessible directory.

Is there anything wrong with using http://webftp.dreamhost.com/ ?

Oh! I dind't know about webftp. Thanks.

No offence, but the interface kind of sucks. My dad would never make heads or tails out of it.

I don’t know why I didn’t think of this before: I’ll just give him a Flickr account.

Thanks for the help.
