Hello,
Can someone tell me step by step how to create a restricted FTP account. I want to create an acct user and password that has a bandwidth limit of 10GB and will stop or notify me when the limit has been reached.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Izzy

Bandwidth limits only apply to domains, not on a user basis. Here's a synopsis of bandwidth throttling:

OK,
I read the info on Domain bandwidth and how to restrict from going over. What I want to know is.....
Is there a way for me to create an FTP user account with a password, for a specific person other than myself, for a specific password protected folder and to limit the download amount they have to 10GB?
Thanks,
Izzy

No, as said above you can only throttle bandwith on a domain basis, not by user.

You could set up a user, and set them as the 'owner' of a domain or sub-domain. Then you can set throttling for their domain. But there is no way to set bandwitdh per user.
