Moving Wordpress

Moving Wordpress

I have a couple of blogs at another host that I am trying to consolidate to my Dreamhost account. I want to retain the source domain name after I move Wordpress such that users will transparently connect to the same site with no visible changes.

I have backups of the source database, but have some questions on how to make the transparency work properly. Here's some background:

source blog: www.otherisp.com
target temp blog: temp.dreamhostdomain.com

When I backup and restore the source Wordpress database to the Dreamhost domain, which feature would I choose: redirect, mirror, or cloak?

I would obviously have to change the nameservers after I peform the migration. Any thoughts at all on how I should proceed?

Here's a Wiki article that covers setting up sites here before changing your nameservers.
