i am setting up mailman on my own (not using the announcement lists of dreamhost - it has .cgi in them and most importantly, a new subdomain is required). the problem comes when setting up the mail server.

how do i create aliases like this?
mailman@vedant.lath.in: "|/home/anon/mailman/mail/mailman post mailman"

Thanks,

Setup the alias to deliver to a shell user, then create a .forward.postfix file in the home directory of that user with the following line in it:

"|/home/anon/mailman/mail/mailman post mailman"

This technique allows procmail to be run (see the wiki), so should work for other applications.

They use Postfix.
