Anyway to test a site before a domain name move?

Just wondering if DreamHost offers anyway to test a site before moving one's domain over, including some database functions. I ask because I run a rather large website and would like the shift to be as painless as possible (I assume most do), and would especially like to make sure things like the forums are up and running as soon as possible.

If this isn't possible, I completely understand. Thanks for your time.

you could signup and use a subdomain of dreamhosters.com to test on, or since all signups come with a free domain, use that. When you're satisfied you can move on over and do it all over again, or you can have the new domain name mirror the tested and working site at that point
