ffmpeg with audio support

Hi all,
I'm trying to compile ffmpeg. Using this wiki http://wiki.dreamhost.com/index.php/FFmpeg I succesfully did it. But the compiled ffmpeg has no audio support. Can someone help me... I'm a totally linux newby :)
