Does Dreamhost still offer VPN?
I can't seem to add the service for some reason any longer.

Ah, I see. Seems it was removed from the lower-end hosting options. I guess I should have taken advantage of it :D

hmmm, used to be on my left nav. I don't recall my user agreement stating they can remove features from my plan.

Starting to get on my nerves. This one I didn't use (yet) but at least one other I have.

Yeah I had been planning to set up a whole VPN workflow for updating the site and the script is now finished! At any rate I'd be willing to pay for a service extra if need be, but I don't recall anything about this service being removed either?

They removed it from mine, too, and I'm on the Strictly Business plan. And in billing, it still says I get two VPN users... but there's no longer the option to add/edit them!

I don't have a plan with VPN, but the K-base says it's under the user tab. If it's not there, have you checked to see if it's functionality has been moved into the Users > Manage users area? They re-arranged the panel a month or so ago, and put a lot of the stuff under the "manage" section of each area.

If you're sitll not finding it, you should contact support and then post your findings here for others. I would suspect that it's simply a glitch that it's not showing up for you.

Check there. Also checked other parts of the panel.

yeah it's gone for sure.
I looked into the old KB articles and still no luck.
I'd even PAY for this added service, though it was, in fact, something I had considered when chosing DH (as it makes a few things very easy, such as secure web browsing).

So you contacted support?

"If you'd like to set up a VPN though DreamHost, contact support and they'll guide you through the process!"

But, when I follow the Add New User link at the bottom of Users, Manage Users tab, I see a convenient click-button-operated option:

"Please know that new users cannot edit the files/folders of existing users!
Type of User Account:
FTP account - file transfer access only.
VPN account - What's that?"
