I run almost all of my domains myself, but I am hosting a domain for a friend, as well. Is there a way to get a control panel specifically for this person, or are they limited to FTP access?

Goto Billing -> Account Privilages in the panel and create a Web-ID for the user concerned. You should then be able to add whatever panel privileges the user requires.
