how to create ftp accounts

I have 4 different domains being hosted so when I login to my ftp account the first thing i see is

1***.com
2***.com
3***.com
4***.com

plus the mail dir.

I would like to be able to give ftp access to a subdirectory of on of the accounts. I cant figure out how to do this. the subdirectory is "rosemary_malign" when I try to use the add user in the panel I get an error saying that an illegal character is being used. Do I have to change the url so that it wont contain an _ ? any help would be greatly appreciated.

There's no way. DH docs: "each domain can only be accessed by one FTP user."

Adding a same-named user won't help.

Sorry!

Can't you accomplish this by direcotry re-mapping? You can't have more than one user access an entire domain, but a user can be re-mapped to a sub-direcotry. Or you can set them up as the user for a sub.domain

If you're saying one can have more than one FTP user access a sub-domain, I (and presumably) DH) would love to know how.

no, sorry, didn't mean it that way. I was just sigguesting that one might simply give this user a sub-domain rather than a sub-direcotry remapped.
