how to delete install/ and contrib/ directories

i just installed phpbb on my site. now it's telling me to delete the install/ and contrib/ directories. i have no idea what it is talking about and where to delete these files...

You'll have to use FTP to get into your account. Then navigate to the directory where you installed PHPBB and delete the directores as instructed. Search the K-base for FTP for more info on that.
