I'm trying to get visitors to www.mysite.com/blog/ to be redirected to blog.mysite.com. However when I try to set this up through the domain manager I keep getting the error that my url cannot contain any '/'.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi Catherine,

Why not do the redirecting through .htaccess?

In the root of your site, in your .htaccess file, make an entry like:

Redirect /blog/ http://blog.mysite.com

I also want to use the domain mirroring thingie, to mirror blog.mysite.com with www.mysite.com/extension/extension2/blog, which can't be done using htacces (can it?) and I'm having the same problem :(

Domain mirroring can only be from one domain to another so you can't setup a mirror of a URL with subdirectories like that.
