DB Down in WordPress

When I go to my wordpress site I get:

Error establishing a database connection

This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can't contact the database server at ****.***.org. This could mean your host's database server is down.

* Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
* Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
* Are you sure that the database server is running?

If you're unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.

I opened a support ticket saying that my db is down. But if I go to mySQL admin, it appears that the DB is up.

Same here..I think its MYSQL down again..and again..oh yes and again!

yeap some databases are down

victoria.scarlet.dreamhost.com is down :s as of 8h30 eastern

rousseau.hobbes.dreamhost.com is up :s


I am wondering now if we could backup our databases to 2 databases. And do mirroring in our code :S
