New Email Accounts

Is there another way to get email accounts activated? I'm still waiting after 10 hours for new email accounts to become active after moving a domain onto my space (the site is up). The estimate on the page is 1 hour and thats how I timed the DNS move/account creation, but I now have a client who's entire staffs emails are being retuned as undeliverable. "We're rewriting the code for additions" is fine for a couple of hours, but someone has to be able to get these going manually as we approach half a day.
