Has anyone had luck using ical and the webDAV publishing service?
I have created a webDAV directoy on my site which I can mount through the "connect to server" option on Mac OS X, however when I try and publish to the same address through ical I get a "timeout after 30 seconds" error. If anyone could publish the steps to success it would be much apreciated.

Have you had any luck with this yet?
I too have tried a variety of ways to get ical and the webdav to work. All to no avail.
Maybe some more pleading for help will work. :-)

I've had no problem with it. My iCal updates to the WebDAV directory on my domain just fine.
As far as I know, I didn't do anything special with the setup.

What OS are you using? I have OS 10.2.8.
I get a network error (-157) everytime I try to publish.
Do I need to do anything more than opening ical and trying publish? Of course, I have the webdav folder already created. I do have it password protected also.

That's all you should have to do...
I have it working also (webdav w/ password) but I am using Mozilla Sunbird as my calendar.

I've been using webDAV with the Mozilla Suite's calendar addon, and it's working fine. I also export my calendar to my iPod by copying the file; it works fine there too because it uses the same format.
