phpopenchat installation error

Hello,
I am trying to install PHPOpenChat on my shared hosting and when it get to the second installation step, I got the following errors:
Warning: Unexpected character in input: ' ' (ASCII=12) state=1 in /usr/local/dh/cgi-system/php.cgi on line 2788
Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING in /usr/local/dh/cgi-system/php.cgi on line 2788
Can someone tell me what it means? I am not familiar at all with CGI.
