FYI, Optimum Online is now blocking SMTP port 25 for outgoing email. See http://www.optonline.net/portblocking for details.

Using DreamHost's port 587 works fine though. See https://panel.dreamhost.com/kbase/index.cgi?area=1623.

Thanks so much for this info- I couldn't figure out why my email wasn't going out today.
