I've had some problems with a user on my website, leaving abusive messages and what have you and stealing some of my work.
Is there anything I can do to block this persons IP address from accessing my site altogether? I realize this is a drastic measure but I'm ready to take these steps to keep this person away from me.

Do you know what their IP address is?
Add this to your document root .htaccess file:
deny from x.x.x.x
That's going to be a lot of IP addresses if they are coming in through dynamic addresses like DSL or wireless.
