DNS not resolving?

I've registered the domain eliasson.com.au with DigitalPacific.com.au and I'm looking to host the site on my Dreamhost account. I've changed the DNS settings on my DigitalPacific control panel to the three Dreamhost DNS servers. With a traceroute I get this:

1 TenGigabitEthernet0-12-0-2.exi-core1.Melbourne.telstra.net (203.50.80.1) 0 msec 4 msec 0 msec
2 Bundle-POS1.chw-core2.Sydney.telstra.net (203.50.6.13) 16 msec 16 msec 12 msec
3 Bundle-Ether1.oxf-gw2.Sydney.telstra.net (203.50.6.90) 24 msec 16 msec 12 msec
4 TenGigabitEthernet6-0.sydo-core01.Sydney.reach.com (203.50.13.38) 16 msec 48 msec 16 msec
5 i-10-0-0.syd-core03.bi.reach.com (202.84.221.85) 12 msec 16 msec 32 msec
6 i-14-1-0.sydp-core01.bi.reach.com (202.84.249.13) 16 msec 16 msec 16 msec
7 i-10-2-0.wil-core03.bx.reach.com (202.84.143.209) 164 msec 164 msec 164 msec
8 i-2-2.tlot03.bi.reach.com (202.84.251.189) 164 msec 168 msec 164 msec
9 be-10-703-cr01.losangeles.ca.ibone.comcast.net (75.149.228.221) 164 msec 164 msec 164 msec
10 75.149.228.206 168 msec 168 msec 168 msec
11 ip-66-33-201-114.dreamhost.com (66.33.201.114) 168 msec 168 msec 164 msec
12 apache2-emu.colts.dreamhost.com (69.163.169.150) 168 msec 168 msec 168 msec

But as you can tell, if you try to access the site (currently only hosting a plain index.html file), nothing gets through.

I'm not sure if I need to change the DNS settings on my Dreamhost Panel or not?

How do I fix it? The domain seems to arrive at Dreamhost somehow, but my pages don't come up. What's wrong?

Really? Mine still isn't working. I can't even ping eliasson.com.au or www.eliasson.com.au! What do you see on the site? Why can't I access it? I can access everything else on the internet, no firewall, etc.

Most peculiar! Why wouldn't I be able to access it do you think?

Your OS might be caching routes, etc. Try a reboot.

Reboot didn't solve it. Perhaps the other DNS server out there in the world don't know about it yet, although some do, cleaing chaches or something... Is it possible for the site to be available in say Sydney, but not Melbourne (for a while)?

You're having a problem with DNS between your computer and the Internet, not DreamHost. You can tell because when you go to Domains -> Manage Domains and click on the "DNS" button for the DNS panel, the "A" record has an IP address that matches what you see in the traceroute.

I'm using Windows XP Command Prompt here:

C:\nslookup -debug eliasson.com.au ns1.dreamhost.com

Everything's good to go so far as the Internet is concerned. Could be that your browser is setup to cache hardcore, or there may be a caching system implemented at your place of business.
