Using GMAIL's pop3 retrieval

Using GMAIL's pop3 retrieval

Hi,

I use gmail to retrieve my email when I'm away from my home computer.

It uses pop3 to retrieve it but there is a delay of about 15 minutes before it shows in my gmail inbox

However if I go into accounts>accounts & import>Check mail using POP3>check mail now it shows up straight away

Mail2web.com does not have this problem and shows up straight away, Obviously this is a problem with gmail's servers as it doesn't check frequently enough

Is there a way to set up forwarding from the dreamhost panel to get faster email?

Thanks

Go to Mail -> Manage Email and then click "Create New Email Address" and you can either setup a mailbox at DreamHost that also forwards or a forward-only address.

If the account is already setup:

Panel > Mail > Manage Email

- Click Edit next to the email account in question.

- Add your Gmail to the List all email addresses to forward to, one per line textbox.

- Hit Save Changes
