I have my email redirected to GMAIL instead of using the Dream Host mail page. What I would like to know is how can I log in to my GMAIL from the Google GMAIL page. The only way for me to login is to first go into my Dreamhost email setup and then click on the GMAIL link and this opens a login to GMAIL. Is ther a better way? or is this how it's done.

It depends how you setup your email server on gmail.
The name of your email server should be either
http://mail.google.com/a/YOURDOMAIN.com
or
http://mail.YOURDOMAIN.com
Please remember to replace YOURDOMAIN with your actual domain name.
You can change the URL of your email server after you log into gmail using your admin user.
