500 Internal Server Error

Hey guys I'm having a problem and I need to get it fixed for school ASAP.

My error log shows this, but those files are now gone and don't show in the FTP explorer...

You can disregard the common favicon.ico and missing.html errors.

Check your .htaccess for lines referencing to the other errors and remove them.




How To Install PHP.INI / ionCube on DreamHost

Joomla uses htaccess.txt... Is that fine?

Check for a .htaccess file. You'll need to enable hidden files to see it.

I believe the htaccess.txt in a fresh J! install contains rewrites for SEO or something of that nature. You'd have to rename it to .htaccess for it to have any effect on your site (as a .txt file it wouldn't actually be doing anything).
