i followed the wiki to find the path for my files, and typed ls. but all i get is 'maildir logs'.
can someone help?

If this is a new account you'll first need to setup the Domain for that user from Panel > Domains > Manage Domains > Add New Domain. After doing so you should find a domain.com folder within the userspace via SFTP/SSH.
