[403 on large file.]

I recently uploaded a .rar to a directory on my website. However, upon trying to download it via http, I am given a 403 Error every time. Note:

-Permissions are all solid from what I can tell.
-I can access and download other files in the same directory of numerous types.

However, I have heard the version of Apache DH uses doesn't work well with downloading files over a certain size, and given this .rar is a whopping 2.5 gigs - I'm afraid that may be the problem.

Any suggestions besides the obvious (splitting the .rar into parts)?

Apache doesn't support large files until 2.2 - DreamHost is migrating to Apache 2.2 according to this status blog entry from August. So you could try asking support to move you over to a newer server perhaps.
