Newbie directory deleting question

Greetings - Please excuse any incorrect terminology!
Problem: I am trying to clean up one of my domains and by getting rid of some unused material. I have a folder that I named "throwaway" and it appears empty, but when I try to delete it I get two error messages:
1) Could not delete ".htaccess"
Server said:
.htaccess: Operation not permited
Error -144: remote delete failed
which I dismiss by clicking OK, then I get a second error message:
2) Could not delete "throwaway".
Server said:
CWD command succesful
Error -144: remote delete failed
So -
I went to the Web Panel, clicked on Htacess/WebDAV link, selected the correct the domain, and it says that "you currently have no configured directories on this domain".
Now what should I do?
Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

GFB

Reconfigure the domain again via Domains > Manage Domains

I've opened the Manage Domains Page, not sure how to proceed beyond selecting the domain I want to 'reconfigure'. Do I delete it?

Thanks

Just hit Fully Hosted again. That *should* fix any file permission errors within the structure, allowing you to remove the troublesome folder. If it still won't delete, check to see if your user is listed as the owner of that .htaccess file and also check the permissions the user has on it (could be something glitched out and Support might need to remove it for you).
