Can't keep up with RSS

Gentlemen, I cannot keep up with some RSS groups. By the time I get
around to reading them some older posts that I haven't read have
already slid of the maximum number of posts presented, e.g. 10, 25 or
for this very RSS, 50.
Should I ask staff to apt-get install feed2imap etc. so I can set up a
cron job to check my favorite groups every half day? Thanks.
