I have access to lynx on mountaindew.
I just started a new account for a non-profit on masseria.
I don't have access to lynx there.

Is Dreamhost dropping lynx as part of the standard shell toolbox?

Have you verified that it's not in /usr/bin or /usr/local/bin? Does a man page for lynx come up?

No lynx:
$ ssh hoffa.dreamhost.com find /usr/bin /usr/local/bin -name lynx
$ ssh hoffa.dreamhost.com dpkg -l|grep lynx
But all is not lost! Try w3m!
$ssh hoffa.dreamhost.com dpkg -l|grep w3m
ii w3m 0.5.1-5.1 WWW browsable pager with excellent tables/frames support

Nope - not on the box.
Thanks for asking.

Okay, I've got a handle on w3m.
It's sort of a hybrid between text and visual.
Toolboxes change.
Neither is perfect, but either will do.

Thanks!
