Missing home directory, wordpress won't install

yesterday i removed a blog, its database and domain from my account and tried to upload wordpress 2.5.1 into a new database, with a new user, at a new domain. It wasn't working so i tried the one-click install and it told me i was missing my home directory. I do i fix this problem?
