Moving domans from a suspended account?

I'd like to switch one of my domains with Dreamhost to a friend's server, who's also hosted on Dreamhost. However, my account is suspended, but I don't care to use the space anymore and will instead use space on said friend's account. Is there a way to add my domain to my friend's account without paying for another year of hosting?
