mail undeliverable, error 554

Suddenly this afternoon I was unable to send mail through my dreamhost mail account. Instead, everything I sent resulted in an immediate message to me that my outgoing message was Undeliverable.

The error message said: "Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients. //...//The following recipient(s) could not be reached: // ... 554 ...:Recipient address rejected: Access denied"

I have no idea what to do next.

I'll suggest you to check the recipient's email address. It look s like an invalid email address or recipient has blocked your email.

I have this as well on some of my email accounts. It has nothing to do with emails not existing. They do exist, and it still does it.

It seems to affect all hotmail and yahoo addresses.


I would love to get to the bottom of this as its extremely irritating!!

yes, I do have a postmaster@domain.tld set up on the affected domains.

I did a search in google. It looks like your emails were blocked by recipient.

Did you send those emails using PHP codes or Email client or Webmail?

I have the same problem... and yes I did send using PHP (standard user registration email confirmation). My error:
