Can't "seek" flv video after converted by Riva FLV

HI,

I'm using the php program from http://xmoov.com/xmoov-php/ to stream flv to flv player. And everything is fine when stream the flv converted by dreamhost.

However, because the quality of flv dreamhost converted is poor, I use Riva FLV Encoder(http://www.rivavx.com/?encoder).

I found a problem that the JW FLV MEDIA PLAYER can't now seek the position when play the flv from Riva FLV(using stream).

I wonder whether its the flv header stuff?

Could some friends help me?

The bottom of that post links you to the FLV Metadata Injector tool, which is probably what's missing in your files. Apparently some programs don't inject the information in order to allow streaming correctly.

That same post also has some information about "streaming" flash files through PHP so you can stream straight off DH.

It is probably worth noting that you can also accomplish ""streaming" flash files through PHP so you can stream straight off DH" using the DreamHost supplied media tools!

Yep I'm pretty sure it even uses the same media player. That package has the needed stream script as well and it's setup for making it easy to use on DH.
