I doubt it given that it's done via a promo code.
But I'm not a DH employee so I could be completely wrong :)

I am afraid not. Like all promotional code discounts, this is available only to "new, first-time" customers, and you can only be one of those once (when you first sign up).

Hi there. I tried to signup for the '777' promotion hosting. But while attempting to do so, the form prompted me the error 'Promo code error: Promo code invalid for your region!'. May I know this promotion is available only for who?

Actually, all DreamHost promo codes are banned from a few countries. This is because of the exceptionally high level of fraud and abuse we have experienced from these countries.
If you received that error message when attempting to use a promo code when signing up, this is the reason - as the message says, the "Promo code invalid for your region!".
This is unfortunate for those potential "good customers" from those regions, but is somewhat better than simply refusing all signups from a given region (which we are trying to avoid doing).

I just signed onto that. :) I thought it was a really good deal. I just.. have one question. 'domains registered'; it says 1 registered, 1 free on this account. What exactly is that supposed to mean? I was told the $9.95 covers the registered domain and hosting for the six months. It's just the '1 free on this account' that throws me off, is this supposed to mean I get a free domain registration?
Thanks!

As I do not have your account in front of me, I cannot answer specific questions about your account. You should submit a support request using the "Support-> Contact Support" option so that your account can be reviewed by a staffer, and a proper (and accurate) answer can be given. ![]()

"1 registered, 1 free on this account" means two things. First, the "1 free on this account" means that your account gets one free domain registration or renewal credit each year. This enables you to register a domain (when you sign or later) and renew it every year. Alternatively, you can let it lapse and register a different domain next year.
"1 registered" means that you've already registered one domain under your account. This is probably the free one, so it "used up" the 1 free domain registration for this year.
Using special promo codes, people have gotten multiple free domain registrations for their account. In these cases, their accounts might say "2 registered, 4 free on this account" or something like that.
Does that explain things any better?
