I'm typing this command to run my rails project:
ruby script/server -p 3000 -d
It's working fine on the net
but after a while the server is off !
How can I run my project on dreamhost host for ever !

Because of the shared nature of hosting here at Dreamhost, you can't run the standalone server without violating the terms of service. You MUST use apache to route requests to your ruby app to "Play Nice" on DH.
