Will Django ever be pre-installed on DH servers?

Hi,
I'm building a small web application with Django, a very interesting Python Web framework.

I'm looking for an affordable shared-hosting.

I like Dreamhost plans but unfortunately Django is not pre-installed on all servers such as Ruby on Rails.

There are some excellent guides to install it but when a hosting company has a web framework pre-installed you can buy with greater confidence: the framework will work on their servers without great issues.

I'm afraid that Dreamhost ambiguous behavior on Django is currently pushing many developers towards Ruby on Rails.

Is the excellent Dreamhost team currently working to fully support Django in the next future? Is this issue a priority for them?

Anyone currently using Django on DreamHost? What is your experience?

Django is a Python framework built on python. Why should be it be pre-installed? It's like asking DH to pre-install Zend Framework. Just install it yourself.

Unlike most all other web hosts, Dreamhost gives you the flexibility to install what you want. As a matter of fact, I just installed PHP 5.2.0 on my personal site and plan on installing Zend Framework 0.2.0, after some local testing (to insure nothing broke).

in my opinion the two hottest web frameworks are currently Ruby on Rails and Django (on Python).

DreamHost has Ruby on Rails pre-installed on all servers (you no longer need to compile Ruby or install Rails yourself) but if you want to use Django you have to install yourself.

At many smaller Dreamhost competitors, such as WebFaction, Django can be installed from a one-click installer and you can create a new Django project/application directly in their control panel!

As a consequence I think my request to see Django pre-installed and fully supported by DH is not so absurd.

Ruby on Rails was added after much many votes on the suggestions page (located in the panel). Add the suggestion there, then, and see if it gets enough votes. It won't be added, by default, any other way.
